SHAUDI FULP
Managing Principal
As a political advisor at the Fidens Group, Shaudi Fulp manages political and public affairs strategies for private and public sector clients, including Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, business and labor coalitions, private investors, and nonprofit organizations. Shaudi counsels clients on building political infrastructure, facilitating stakeholder and community outreach, and navigating complex policy negotiations.
Shaudi’s career spans local, state, national, and global government affairs. Prior to her work at the Fidens Group, she was the Senior Vice President of Global Government Relations at a multibillion-dollar entertainment and media company headquartered in Los Angeles. In this role, she built and oversaw all advocacy strategies for the company’s diverse portfolio of businesses in 40 countries and launched the company’s first political action committee. During her time with the company she was able to earn the company’s license to operate in numerous states and countries.
She also served as the Chief Advocate of Policy, Government, and Public Affairs for a Fortune 5 company headquartered in California. Shaudi developed and implemented local, state, and national level public affairs programs, and effectively advocated on a broad range of issues before the legislative and executive branches of government. With expertise in energy, environmental, land use, transportation, budget and tax policies, she negotiated marquee laws in these areas and advised company executives on various internal initiatives, including the acquisition and integration of a new business unit. She chaired various political action committees that successfully elected bipartisan legislators to state and local office, and was named as one of the Sacramento Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40.”
Her experience also encompasses representing a spectrum of clients at California’s largest advocacy and public relations firm, and serving on the 55th Mayor of Sacramento's Transition Team. She started her career in television news, where she covered the California State Capitol and the inaugural term of former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for both local and national affiliates.
A supporter of academia and the arts, she is a member of the UC-Berkeley Citrin Center for Public Opinion Research External Advisory Committee and the Library Collectors' Council at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens. She previously served on the National Advisory Council of the UC-Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies for 12 years and was awarded the Polsby Scholarship at UC-Berkeley for her work on the Top Two Primary. She is an alumna of UC-Berkeley, where she earned degrees in Legal Studies and Political Psychology (Interdisciplinary Studies), and a Master of Arts in Political Science.
